Environmental protection is not a trend for us, but a commitment. That is why we consistently use genuine, high-quality recycled material for our ECO-ReBags: These big bags are made from 30–50% GRS-certified PCR Level 2 marine plastic, sourced from the Andaman Sea off Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

The recycled plastic granulate comes from the Swiss company #tide ocean material, which collects plastic waste from the sea in a multi-award-winning environmental project and transforms it locally into a high-quality, GRS-certified raw material. The entire processing process at our partner factory in Bangladesh is also RCS certified, and we have a CSI traceability certificate that guarantees complete documentation of the origin and use of the recycled material.

Thanks to these strict standards, we have been able to increase our output of big bags with certified PCR Level 2 recycled material by 30% in the last 12 months (as of June 2025).

During this period, a total of 24 tonnes of GRS-certified marine plastic was added to the big bags, accounting for 30–50% of their total weight, and delivered to our customers.

Since the start of our ECO project, we have been able to process significantly more recycled material – our contribution to the circular economy is growing every year.

Beware of supposedly ‘recycled’ big bags:

Many suppliers now advertise recycled products, but often use non-traceable materials or so-called production waste (post-industrial/level 1), which are not considered fully recycled materials within the meaning of the EU Circular Economy Directive.
